Home My Projects The Core
Because of how infrequently I updated the page, I've decided to quit showing my currently unfinished projects (at least until I can automate the process somewhat). Instead, this page will show most of the projects or updates to projects I've publicly released in the past in reverse chronological order.

Z Galaxy SMP Season 2
Z Galaxy and Minecraft logos

I would say this is my highest effort Z Galaxy Season. Initially it was voted to have a plugin idea I called 'Factions and Strategy', which was going to be a form of Factions, combined with some Stellaris ideas (such as faction Ethics) and allowed some players to be passive. However this idea turned out to be too complex and I burnt out. Nothing happened for a while, but I still made plugins and datapacks for the Season. We voted to play on the Minecraft Earth map of 1:1000 scale. At that point we were entering 1.17, but the Earth map had no direct access to the new items, so I added 'Extra Rare Drops', basically rare chests that contained random items, sometimes including the new 1.17 ones, which dropped from activities such as mining, farming and fishing. I also made a 'Mob Apocalypse' plugin, which is an early version of what would later turn into a large mod idea I still wish to make, this plugin attempted to calculate every player's wealth and added leveling to many basic hostile mobs, making them get better gear the richer the players are. It wasn't perfect and had multiple severe issues, but still made the Season more interesting. We had severe performance issues in the beginning of the reason, until I discovered that Paper worked very badly with datapacks, dealing with the issues helped me learn how to debug performance on Paper. The biggest issue of the Season was the world itself. I was hoping to get a 1:2000 scale of Earth, but 1:1000 was more popular. Everyone was very, very far apart. People rarely met each other and this Season of SMP felt very lonely, almost like playing Singleplayer. I think that was the main reason people played less than in Season 1. I settled in Lithuania's territory and attempted to build 'Claytown', with the main attraction being a parkour course based on the new dripleaf. However I once again burnt out of building the parkour course and overall didn't make much of anything.

QuizUp Leaderboard Replays
Recolor of the QuizUp logo, often used as the logo of QuizUp Leaderboard Replays

QuizUp Leaderboard Replays was a service I built and ran which primarily served to archive and display the achievements of competitive QuizUp players. I think this is one of the more impressive things I managed overall. Every minute for an entire month I recorded a snapshot for the global monthly leaderboard of a specific topic. I then used an accompanying Unity app I created to 'replay' all these snapshots in quick succession, 1 frame = 1 minute at 60 FPS. This created fast-paced and satisfying replays showing off player activity very well and the many leaderboard position changes that took place. Initially I ran the leaderboard snapshot recorder on my main computer that I turned off every night, but later rented multiple servers for tracking the leaderboards. In 2020 QuizUp Leaderboards went through massive visual overhauls, which made it even more info-dense than before, showing players' Win % for the month, amount of games played, their levels and even a custom leveling system I made with a friend called the 'Magmatic Stratum'. Due to being a mod, I also implemented automatic boosting detection, primarily used to inform clan leaders about their members using boosts. In mid 2020 I opened up my Patreon to allow users to pay me money to track and create replays for topics of their choice, gaining money online fully through my own work for the first time. The final major visual update for Leaderboard Replays took place in December 2020, when I added subtle, transparent bars, charting out the difference in XP for each player. Despite all the upsides, creating these replays every month took a lot of manual labor, even with all my automation. In early 2021, right before QuizUp's shutdown, I had to spend 3-4 entire days doing nothing but recording and rendering Replays, which really irritated me and made me consider quitting. Luckily QuizUp's shutdown ended it before I did. The very first QuizUp Leaderboard Replays were on my main YouTube channel, but later I moved them to my second channel. Use the Playlist feature on the 2nd channel to browse them, as nowadays they serve as large archives for the competitive state of those topics.

Hellession Tournaments Season 3
Hellession Tournaments logo

A rather special QuizUp Tournament I hosted, probably one of a kind that happened in QuizUp as a whole. The tournament took place in the Name the Flag topic. I created a new scoring system that was very sensitive to time - instead of players getting 1 point for every second early they answered, my scoring system gave a score for every millisecond they answered early. This scoring system was called 'time-sensitive' and my entire tournament was based on the time-sensitive scoring system. I attempted to host such an event in 2018, but failed because back then no one in Name the Flag knew me and I required the usage of an application I made to sign up. Because QuizUp didn't support time-sensitive scoring, every player had to send game API data to me, which I then replayed in public videos for everyone to see with a custom replay program I made, allowing everyone to spectate the results live through a Premiere. Because of that, every single tournament game is published and viewable on my YouTube channel, click the icon above to open the playlist of videos I made for the tournament. The tournament wasn't without its kinks - there were animations and features that I thought were rushed and unfinished on my part, some players mysteriously quit, cheated or acted irrationally and overall the result of the tournament is rather unexpected (probably due to the unique reaction time requirement). Despite that I am still really proud of how the tournament turned out - I never managed to host something similar since.
